An unusual mail experience

Yesterday, I received a bunch of packages in the mail. Without really looking at who they were from, I started opening them, and making notes for my hours of updating threads here today. One of the packages was a colorful bubble-mailer, that again, I opened without looking.

It was full of candy. No note, just candy.

I looked at the addresses, and amazingly enough, it wasn’t meant for me. It was from some person in Illinois, to some person in the CZECH REPUBLIC. Part of the address was 73951. My ZIP code.

I guess that it was sent here to 73951 by mistake, and my postmistress assumes that all weird mail comes to me, since I get a lot of it anyway. Who cares what the rest of the address is?

The funniest (to me) part, is that the candy, which cost that Someone in Illinois $15.90 to mail, was the crappiest of crappy. It’s the candy that folks give out at Halloween and the kids throw it away. It’s the candy that’s been sitting in public candy bowls for a year because no one wants to take it.

If *I* were going to send candy overseas for $15.90, I’d at least make sure it was worth that $15.90. Heh.
